Catalyser wins at the FOX Awards

catalyzer fox awards 2025

We are happy to share that Catalyser, the start-up magazine we produced for Life Science Factory, has been recognised at the FOX Awards 2025.

For us, this is more than an award for a single publication. It is a recognition of a belief that guides much of our work: complex life science topics deserve communication that is clear, useful, well-designed, and genuinely relevant to the people it is made for.

A magazine for life science founders

Catalyser was created for a very specific audience: founders, researchers, and entrepreneurial minds in the life sciences.

The magazine focuses on the questions that matter when scientific ideas begin the journey toward real-world application. How do researchers become founders? What does it take to build a company in the life sciences? How can teams navigate funding, patents, leadership, AI, healthcare gaps, and company culture?

The third issue of Catalyser covered topics such as the mindset needed for founding a company, the key milestones on the way to building a start-up, investor expectations, the role of AI in research teams, and why values and team spirit matter in young companies.

The result is not a traditional corporate magazine. It is an editorial product designed to give life science entrepreneurs orientation, inspiration, and practical impulses.

Communication that supports an ecosystem

Life Science Factory plays an active role in the start-up ecosystem, supporting young companies with lab and workspace infrastructure, mentoring programmes, offices, and prototyping facilities in Göttingen and Munich.

Catalyser translates that mission into a media format.

The magazine brings together stories, expert perspectives, and practical knowledge for a growing community of life science founders. It shows how editorial communication can do more than inform. It can connect an ecosystem, strengthen a brand, and create long-term value for a clearly defined audience.

That is also what makes this recognition meaningful to us. The FOX Awards focus on the effectiveness and efficiency of communication. In other words, they look beyond aesthetics and ask whether a communication project works for its audience and its goals.

What the jury said

The FOX Awards jury highlighted the editorial breadth of Catalyser and its relevance for the start-up scene. The jury described the magazine as a publication that turns knowledge for founders into a wide-ranging editorial format, covering start-ups, grown-ups, technologies, marketing, law, and the innovation potential of Germany.

This is exactly what we aimed to achieve: a magazine that feels useful, credible, and engaging for a highly specialised audience.

Why this matters for life science communication

Life science communication is often challenging. The topics are complex, the stakeholders are diverse, and the audience is rarely looking for superficial content.

But that is also the opportunity.

When communication is built on strong editorial thinking, it can help organisations become more visible, more trusted, and more relevant. It can turn expertise into a format people actually want to read. It can give a community a shared language. And it can position an organisation as a meaningful voice in its field.

Catalyser is a good example of that approach.

Together with Life Science Factory, we developed a magazine that combines strategic positioning, editorial quality, and visual execution. The FOX Awards recognition confirms that this approach resonates beyond the immediate life science community.
